Someone's in the Kitchen with Lannie

Someone’s in the Kitchen with Lannie is a program designed for adults living with disabilities that wish to prepare their own meals.  

 

The program is driven by the individual needs of the participants. 

 

Program includes the following:

  • Food identification and exploration; safe handling, preparing and storing

  • Equipment identification and use

  • Adaptive aids for physical challenges

  • Adapting recipes for allergies and special diets

  • Safety rules in the kitchen

  • What’s on the menu?

  • Buying groceries

 

Facilitator:  LeeAnn Rose

 

Duration (2 sessions): September – December & February - May

 

Day: 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month

 

Time: 2:00pm – 4:00pm

 

Cost: $5 per person/session 

 

Pre-registration required; 10 spots available

 

Location: Kinsmen Inclusion Centre
